Adopt-A-Route

One way to volunteer for our organization is to "Adopt-A-Route".  It is a simple way for corporations to give back to the community while fostering employee morale. Companies who Adopt-A-Route take on the delivery requriments of one route, one day a week by providing two employees for two hours (between 11:00am and 1:00pm).

By participating in the Adopt-A-Route program, you join others such as:

Getting involved is as easy as 1,2,3,4:

  1. An Employee Coordinator is needed to schedule participants.
  2. A pool of 12 to 20 employees* is recommended (i.e., this allows each employee to participate once every six to ten weeks)
  3. A minimum of two employees are scheduled for approximately two hours each week
  4. Volunteers drive their own vehicles while delivering meals

*An application and a Police Security Clearance are required for each participating employee. An onsite group orientation will be provided by Calgary Meals on Wheels Staff
to train volunteers.
