George has been a staff driver for Calgary Meals on Wheels since 2012. Read on to learn a little bit more about George and why he has been with us for so long.

On behalf of the Board of Directors for Calgary Meals on Wheels, we wish to announce that after over 13 years of steady leadership, Janice Curtis has decided to step back from the Executive Director role. However, she will not be leaving us fully, as she will remain in a transitional capacity to ensure our organization continues its successful work reducing food insecurity in our city.

Mary was pleasantly surprised by the portion size and the variety of food Calgary Meals on Wheels offers. Through Calgary Meals on Wheels, not only was she able to have just the right portion of food for her lifestyle, but it also introduced her to a large variety of food that she rarely has the opportunity to otherwise try.

From global supply chain issues to major world events, daily essentials like food and gasoline prices have been on the rise. We have all felt the impact of these increases in our personal lives, and at Calgary Meals on Wheels, we’ve felt it too…

Darrell has had a few challenges in his life and using Calgary Meals on Wheels home meal delivery program has been a saving grace for him.

After living in the same house for 51 years, Kathy decided it was time to downsize with her dog, Cubby, to a more manageable setting.

At one time John was only eating two meals a day and lost quite a bit of weight. Now with the meals from Calgary Meals on Wheels he is eating three meals a day and has regained some weight.

Meet Mark Naphin, our new executive chef at Calgary Meals on Wheels. Mark has an extensive culinary background and has been working as a chef for more than 20 years.

572 routes, that’s how many trips in total Magda has made while helping Calgary Meals on Wheels deliver meals to clients as a volunteer driver. Every Friday for the past 11 years, Magda has been driving out to our distribution depots to pick up meals and delivering them to our clients in the community.
