As of April 2018, Calgary Meals on Wheels accepted the offer to become the official owner of YYC Pizza Week – a fun foodie event which sees local restaurants battle for YYC’s best pizza.

During March and April, we had the great fortune of having employees from McLeod Law LLP, volunteer with our Hot Soup Program.

We recently have had the pleasure of hosting an event for some of the most important members of the Calgary Meals on Wheels family, our Volunteers.

As special guests of the Brakeman Foundation, our Executive Director, Janice Curtis, and our Fund Development Manager, Stephanie Power, attended the 2nd Annual Celebrity Chef Showdown on January 28th.

Our volunteers were helping Santa by wrapping gifts for patrons of Marlborough Mall this Holiday Season.

We found a time machine and went back to 1965 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our amazing volunteers at the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

The 2015 edition of YYC Pizza was ten days of cheesy goodness, from September 25 - October 4 throughout all of Calgary.

Calgary Meals on Wheels and Shine FM staked out at six local Calgary Co-op grocery stores on Saturday, October 3rd for our annual Totes for Turkeys fundraiser!

A feast your eyes and your palate! The annual Amber Approved Stampede Breakfast and inaugural Bachelor Auction was a huge success.

City Palate’s Fifth Annual Pig & Pinot Festival treated 300 attendees to another great night of fantastic wine tastings along with unique and decedent pork recipes from 14 local restaurants.

It’s not very often you get the opportunity to sit behind the Mayor’s desk, but several staff and a couple volunteers had the chance at last night’s 2014 Calgary Awards.

As we celebrate our 50th year of service, today we also celebrated the volunteers who make our mission possible.
